Mr Ezzedin Tago

Ambassador of the Philippines to Egypt

 Ambassador Ezzedin Tago arrived in Egypt on 11 September 2021.  He presented his credentials to H.E. Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, President of the Republic of Egypt on 15 September 2021.

He is also accredited to several other states named below, and presented credentials on the dates as stated.

 

Non resident Philippine Ambassador to :

  • The Republic of Djibouti — 18 November 2021

  • The Republic of The Sudan - 15 March 2022

  • The State of Eritrea - 23 June 2022

 

Ambassador Ezzedin Tago joined the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines in 1995.

 

Prior to his assignment to Egypt, he served as Consul General in Sydney, Australia (2019 to 2021). 

 

He has also served as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2011 to 2016) and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Consul General in Jeddah (2007-2010) and previously in Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and Jakarta (Indonesia). 

 

In the Ministry in Manila, he has served as Assistant Secretary for Human Resources, Deputy Chief of Presidential Protocol, Special Assistant to the Undersecretary for Special Concerns, and Director for Gulf States in the Office of Middle East and African Affairs.

Ambassador Tago graduated from the University of California, Davis (USA) with a bachelors in Political Science. 

​

Ambassador Tago is a recipient of several presidential awards.

​

He was born in Cairo, Egypt. He speaks English, Arabic and Filipino.
