Overview of Philippines-Egypt Relations
The Philippines and Egypt established diplomatic relations on 03 March 1946. The Philippine Embassy in Cairo was opened in the 1960s. From that period until the middle of the 1970s, it was the only Philippine mission in the Arab and African region.
As of March 2024, there are 2,125 Filipinos living in Egypt.

H.E. Mr. Ezzedin H. Tago is the current Ambassador of the Philippines to the Arab Republic of Egypt since 11 September 2021. He presented his credentials to H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace (Presidential Palace) in Heliopolis on 15 September 2021.
H.E. Mr. Ahmed Shehabeldin Ibrahim is currently the Egyptian Ambassador to the Philippines.
