On 04 March 2024, Philippine Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Ezzedin Tago talked to Al-Ahram and shared insights on Philippine history, its demographic landscape, religious, linguistic and cultural diversity, role and status of women in the society.
Amb. Tago also discussed cultural traditions of Muslim Filipinos living in the southern part of the country, particularly their customs during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
He also shared milestones in PH-EG bilateral relations, since its establishment on March 3, 1946.
After the interview, Al-Ahram representatives and the Embassy officials and staff partook of Filipino Maranao dishes usually served during Ramadan. END.
