AMB TAGO HANDS DFA AWARD TO PH CONSUL AD HONOREM TO SUDAN

On 02 September 2024, Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago handed the Department of Foreign Affairs Outstanding Employee Award to Mr. Tarig El-Nefeidi, Philippine Consul ad honorem to Sudan.

During the DFA’s Founding Anniversary Celebration last 05 July 2024, the Department recognized Consul El-Nefeidi for his distinguished service during the repatriation of Filipinos from Sudan in 2023. Consul El-Nefeidi joins 9 other awardees of the Outstanding Employee Award for their various contributions benefiting Filipinos overseas.

While the operations of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Sudan have been temporarily suspended, Consul El-Nefeidi and his team in Sudan continue to provide support to the Embassy in assisting Filipinos in Port Sudan. END
