ASEAN Ambassadors hold a Session on ASEAN at Egypt’s Institute for Diplomatic Studies

On 02 October, Philippine Ambassador to Egypt Mr. Ezzedin Tago joined the ASEAN Ambassadors in a Brown Bag Session at the Institute for Diplomatic Studies (IDS). The IDS is the training arm of Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs providing training for new diplomats of Egypt.

The session focused on ASEAN, its accomplishments and achievements, regional security challenges, the role of ASEAN in the international multilateral order, ASEAN’s role in the global economy and bilateral partnerships with Egypt.

The session was lively and interactive, with questions from the diplomatic attaches on various relevant issues.

There are nine ASEAN missions in Cairo comprising the ASEAN Committee in Cairo, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. END
