On 22 November 2023, the Philippine Embassy in Cairo sent off a batch of five (5) Filipinos and their families who left Gaza in early November 2023. They arrived in the Philippines on 23 November 2023.
Since 07 November 2023, a total of 111 Filipinos have crossed the Egypt Rafah Border, through Cairo PE’s coordinated efforts with the Philippine Embassies in Amman and Tel Aviv. 109 been repatriated from Cairo to Manila through the Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) fund from the DFA-OUMWA.
The Philippine Embassy once again expresses appreciation to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its assistance in the entry of Filipinos into Egypt through the Rafah border. The Embassy also thanks IOM Egypt for providing support to repatriates needing medical assistance. END.
