The Philippine Embassy recorded 2002 Filipinos in Egypt.

85% or 1,696 are females

15% or 306 are males


About 50% are employed in the informal sector and performing skilled work.

Some 10% are students at local schools such as the Al-Azhar University.

Others are staying in Egypt with their Egyptian spouse and children.
