On 25 October 2023, in celebration of the Museum and Galleries month, the Philippine Embassy in Egypt launched the Sentro Rizal-Egypt website and Reintroduced the Sentro Rizal library to the public. Guest speakers from the Museum of Islamic Arts-Cairo gave a presentation about the Museum’s collections and activities. The launch was attended by members of the Filipino community, Filipino Students, as well as a representative of UN Migration.
The Sentro Rizal’s purpose is to promote the Philippine arts, culture, and language throughout the world with the vision of spreading culturally literate Filipinos overseas. The Sentro Rizal – Egypt was originally launched on 29 December 2015 during the 119th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal.
