PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN CAIRO CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN KHARTOUM, SUDAN

23 December 2021. The Philippine Embassy in Cairo conducted its second consular outreach mission to Sudan for 2021 in Khartoum, Sudan from 17 to 18 December.


The consular team from the Embassy was composed of Vice Consul Crystal Ann S. Dunuan and attaches Ms. Francia R. Ybañez, Ms. Lady Hadaynah A. Mangca and Mr. Saiden P. Esmael.


The team was able to process seventy-three (73) consular services including applications for new and renewal of passports as well as reporting of births of Filipino children born abroad. The team was also able to assist those who walked-in with their non-passport and personal concerns.


In addition, Ms. Dunuan and Ms. Ybañez met with Ms. Masako Ueda, Programme Coordinator for the International Organization (IOM) - Migrant Resource and Response Centre in Khartoum, Sudan. They discussed cases involving Filipinos that are referred to the IOM.


The office of Mr. Tarig El-Nefeidi, Consul ad honorem of the Philippines to the Republic of the Sudan helped in the logistics and coordination of the consular outreach to make it a successful event.
