PHILIPPINES HOSTS THE 272ND ASEAN COMMITTEE IN CAIRO (ACC) MEETING

On 21 August 2024, the Philippines hosted the 272nd ASEAN Committee in Cairo (ACC) meeting at the Philippine Embassy.

The ACC discussed the committee’s activities for the rest of 2024 which include a joint meeting with Egypt’s new Foreign Minister, brown bag sessions with local universities, a briefing with Egypt’s Institute for Diplomatic Studies, and a visit to the Red Sea Governorate. These activities aim to promote ASEAN solidarity among its members and enhancing the ACC’s relations with Egypt.

There are 9 ASEAN missions in Cairo, including Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.END.
