Transfer of Jurisdiction over Ethiopia from PH Embassy in Egypt to PH Embassy in Kenya

The Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt informs the public that effective 30 October 2024, the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt over the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has been transferred to the Philippine Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.


The operations of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Addis Ababa, which will now be under the oversight of the Philippine Embassy in Kenya, will not be affected. It will continue to provide consular and assistance-to-nationals services.


All queries and concerns regarding the 2025 overseas voting, however, must still be addressed to the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.

Transfer of Jurisdiction over Ethiopia from PH Embassy in Egypt to PH Embassy in Kenya

Effective 30 October 2024, the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, over the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has been transferred to the Philippine Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. This change allows the Philippine Embassy in Kenya to oversee all consular affairs and other services for Filipinos in Ethiopia.

The Philippine Honorary Consulate in Addis Ababa will continue to provide consular and assistance-to-nationals services under the guidance of the Embassy in Kenya, so there will be no disruption to operations in Ethiopia.

Please note that any questions or concerns regarding the 2025 overseas voting should still be directed to the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
