Sudan - Alert Level 3 and 4

Since 15 April 2023, the start of the conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), eight hundred forty-seven (847) Filipinos have left Sudan; majority of whom received assistance and arrived in the Philippines through Egypt (via Aswan and Cairo) or through Saudi Arabia (from Port Sudan to Jeddah/Riyadh) through arrangements by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Since July 2023, the Philippine Government raised the crisis alert level for Republic of the Sudan as follows:

 

Alert Level 4 (Mandatory Repatriation) for the States of Khartoum, North Darfur, South Darfur, West Darfur, Central Darfur and East Darfur, and

Alert Level 3 (Voluntary Repatriation/Evacuation) for the other states of the country, North Kordofan State, Northern State, Kassala State, Blue Nile State, South Kordofan State, Gezira State, White Nile State, River Nile State, Red Sea State, Al Qadarif State, Sennar State, and West Kordofan State.

 

As of March 2024, there are 84 Filipinos who conveyed their decision to stay in Sudan. The Philippine government continues to urge them to register their details on the Embassy's online form, accessible through  the following link: http://bit.ly/OFSudan, and to leave the country immediately. 

 

Repatriation flights from Port Sudan to Cairo & Manila are still being arranged to those who wish to leave the country. They must get in touch with the Embassy immediately, and do the following:

 

1. Provide full name, contact number and copy of passport.

2. Advise if in possession of a valid passport or not.

3. Arrange transportation to and temporary accommodation in Port Sudan.

4. Process the necessary exit clearance at the Immigration Office in Port Sudan.
